Setup
Included in the box:
You will also need:
- An available connection point on your NMEA 2000 network
- Appropriate mounting hardware (M3 or M4 screws, not included)
To access data wirelessly from the NAVLink Blue, you’ll need:
- A device with Vakaros connect downloaded
- A properly functioning and powered NMEA 2000 network
Installation
The NAVLink Blue carries an IP54 rating, meaning it is water-resistant, but it should still be installed below deck in a dry environment. When choosing a location, consider the following:
- How the NMEA 2000 cable will be routed to the device
- Allowing enough space for connecting cables
- Keeping a safe distance of at least 0.5 meters from compasses
- Ensuring good wireless signal—avoid installing inside metal enclosures
– Connecting to NMEA 2000 Network
- Plug the NAVLink Blue cable into an unused port on your NMEA 2000 network
- The device draws power from the network (Load Equivalency Number = 2), so no extra power connection is needed
- If you’re setting up a new NMEA 2000 network, Digital Yacht’s NMEA 2000 Starter Kit is a convenient option, including all necessary cables, connectors, and terminators
- For non-standard networks, an appropriate adapter cable will be required from the network’s manufacturer:
SeaTalkNG (Raymarine P/No A06045)
Simnet (Simrad P/No 24006199)
Mounting
- Using suitable hardware secure the Navlink Blue to a flat surface
- Unit may be installed in any orientation

Powering Navlink Blue
Apply power to the NMEA 2000 network and the NAVLink Blue the LEDs
should start to illuminate or flash, refer to the table below

By default the NAVLink Blue powers up in Bluetooth mode and should be
auto-discoverable by the Vakaros Connect app as long as your device has Bluetooth
